Relief House Parents:

Relief house parents play a vital role in that they give primary house parents time off and serve as a safe place for the residents to continue their treatment goals. This position's primary time of service is evenings and weekends but could be for longer periods as vacations are covered.
People serving in this position can work full-time or part-time. Traditionally, Mid-Western has hired married couples to fill this role, but mature singles would be seriously considered as well. Full-time benefits include salary, accrued vacation time, health insurance offset monies, housing and utilities, access to MCH owned vehicles, and free Wi-Fi.
Applicants must be active members of the Churches of Christ in their local area. Mid-Western is willing to hire from the contiguous 48 states and could possible pay moving expenses.


Case Manager:
Case managers play an integral role in the care, support, and treatment each child receives on a day-to-day basis.
You will team with house parents, therapists, and other case managers to provide a safe and loving environment for our children. Influence the children in their journey towards healing and planning for the future. Review case plans, write reports, and present findings to leadership. Communicate with families and placement sources as well as take children to family visits/ other appointments.

Intervention Specialist:
This position serves in a small alternative school on the Mid-Western Children's Home campus called Village Christian School. Students served primarily live in the on-campus group home while about 25% of the students are placed through other school districts. This job features a smaller-than-average IEP caseload allowing for a more dynamic relationship with each student. Responsibilities include developing and monitoring IEPs, progress monitoring, and academic support. Candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in special education. We are willing to accept and support individuals who are in the process of attaining their Resident Educator License. The person needs to be passionate about meeting the needs of students, be excellent in serving students with a history of trauma, and be a team player.

Full-Time House Parents:
Mid-Western Children's Home is looking for married couples to serve children on our campus in a cottage-based family care setting. Interested couples should have maturity in their marriage, can be with or without children, and pets are welcome. Benefits include competitive salary, housing, utilities, health care offset, and accrued vacation time.

House parents are supported by a case manager and program director, and must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience is preferred, but not required.
